Abstract

233,173. Williams, E. T., and Chatten, W. H. June 14,1924. Ceiling and like overhead lamps.-An overhead lamp for workshops &c. comprises an outer reflector 1, preferably of angle type and of parabolic, elliptical, or other cross-section, and an inner reflector 5 arranged substantially vertically and extending only round the front and sides of the source of light, the upper edge, of the reflector- 5 being approximately on a level with or slightly below the light source. The lower front edge 1<a> of the outer reflector may be higher than the lower rear edge and the inner reflector may consist of a metal strip bent to a semicircle, and supported by rods within the outer reflector. The exterior surface of the inner reflector may be coated with a white material, or the reflector may be made of white material.
