347,571. Shop window &c. lamps. HOLOPHANE, Ltd., Holophane House, Elverton Street, Vincent Square, London. -(Dorey, W. A. ; Newark, Ohio, U.S.A.) Feb. 3, 1930, No. 1817/31. Divided on 347,322. [Class 75 (ii).] Lantern fronts.-A prismatic cover for a shopwindow or like lamp comprises a flat lower part 15 and an upper part 14 which is spaced a substantial distance above the lower and is dished to receive an electric lamp bulb. The part 14 is provided with a smooth upper surface and a lower suface with concentric prisms, whilst the part 15 is provided with a smooth lower surface and an upper surface with parallel refracting prisms. The part 14 is provided with smooth pyramidal sides 26 which are cemented to the part 15 and preferably so disposed as not to intercept rays of light directed. towards the prismatic cover. A spherical reflector 5 above the bulb may be cut away at 7 to allow some light to fall on a flat inclined diffuse reflector 18 which reflects downwardly on to a refracting plate 16 having a smooth outer surface and an inner surface provided with parallel refracting prisms.
