Abstract

283,029. Jackson, L. Mellersh-, (Crouse-Hinds Co.). April 20, 1927. Signal lamps. -A signal lamp comprises an electric lamp bulb 2 controlled bv a suitable switch and arranged in a housing 1 between a parabolic or other concave reflector 3 and a lens 4 having a reticulated surface to refract the light laterally in all directions at wide angles. The lens may be coloured green, red or amber &c., or the colour may be imparted by a plain coloured screen between the lamp and lens. Visors 10 carried by a ring 11 are provided to prevent direct rays of sunlight passing through the lens.
