Abstract

451,709. Lantern screens. Mc- NAUGHT, A. J., The Bower, Lawson's Road, Thornton, near Blackpool. March 29, 1935, No. 9783. [Class 75 (iv)] A central light source 3 is wholly or partly enclosed by two complete' or partial concentric rings of transparent louvres 9, each louvre being in a plane of a chord of the circle in which it is mounted, the louvres in one ring being set in opposite directions to those in the other so that the inside edge of each louvre in the outer ring is approximately on the same radius as the outer edge of a louvre in the inner ring. The louvres rest in channels formed by upstanding strips 8 on a lower supporting ring 5, and pass through slots in an upper ring. The louvres may be moved in or out at the same time by means of oppositely rotatable slotted rings at the top. The louvres may be coloured, and may be enclosed by a lens 10.
