494,442. Electric battery lamps. JACKSON, L. MELLERSH-. (Hyman, H.) Aug. 11, 1937, No. 22095. [Classes 39 (ii), 75 (ii), and 75 (iv)] An electric-battery lamp comprises a cap 5 provided with the usual front glass 9 and also with side windows fitted with coloured glass 11, the windows being arranged above a reflector 15 fixed below a bulb 16 so that they always receive a portion of the ray of light from the reflector. The glass 11 may be in the form of a complete ring, or built up from arcuate pieces, for example, from semicircular pieces coloured red and green. The illumination of the windows may be increased by means of a truncated conical reflector 13, by forming the inner surface of the windows with corrugations or other irregularities, or by forming a circular glass 17, Fig. 4, with V- shaped annular grooves 18.
