Abstract

516,361. Street &c. lamps. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., LTD., and MAXTED, R. June 21, 1938, No. 18448. [Class 75 (ii)] A street lighting fitting comprises a parabolic reflector 2, a light source 1 at the focus thereof and a pair of translucent reflectors 3 forming an inverted V beneath the source and reflecting light diffusely preferably at a mean angle of 10 degrees to the. horizontal and transmitting diffuse light below. Preferably the source and reflectors are elongated and the panels 4 diffusing.
