Axles and axle structures; radius rods and torque rods.-In a vehicle having pivoted halfaxle structures, the wheel-driving shafts n have universal joints m in line with the pivots r of the axles, and the engine a is disposed immediately adjacent to the rear axle. The pivoted axle structures may be either (a) axle sleeves t pivoted to the axle casing u, as shown at the right of the Figure, or (b) struts p shown at the left of the Figure and pivoted to the wheel bearing q and the casing u. A second universal joint m may be provided on each wheel-driving shaft.
