Valve gear. - In a fuel injection, device as described in the parent Specification, having an annular spring loaded accumulator member f surrounding a spraying valve c, a single spring e is used both to load the accumulator and to maintain the spraying valve on its seating. The spring e bears directly at its lower end on the annular piston f, and at its upper end on a, slidable member r, the upward pressure of the spring being transferred to the valve c by levers n, l, pivoted at o and k respectively. Injection takes place when the lever l is lifted by the cam h, the valve c being raised from its seating by the pressure of the fuel in the chamber s. A tubular extension t of the piston f is provided, which bears against the member r when the pressure in the chamber s is excessive.
