Closure members, plug lift. -To minimize drip from the spraying orifices a<1> of a fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine, the valve B seats upon the inner ends of the orifices a<1>, and is provided with passages c, c<1> which permit the escape of surplus fuel from the space a<2> as the valve closes, and allow access of the fuel to the orifices a<1> from both ends of the valve seating during injection.
