Abstract
225,490. Arnsdorf, E. Aug. 20, 1924. Puncture or deflation, indicating.-A device for signalling the deflation of a pneumatic tyre comprises a shaft c abutting against a block a in contact with the inner tube b. The air pressure is balanced by a spring f which, on deflation of the tyre, moves the shaft c with its extension c<1> to disengage a locking tooth s and release a spring- actuated arm n to swing into contact with a switch p on the frame, closing an electric circuit to operate a bell, lamp, or other signal. An arm k on the shaft c' may also operate a bell h directly through a stop i. In a modification, the valve sleeve connected with the air tube serves as a locking shaft for the arm n.
