Abstract

236,472. Schmidt, G. H. Jan. 26, 1925. Puncture or deflation, indicating.-A device for indicating deflation of air tubes of the type comprising a movable piston normally balanced by a compression spring and the air pressure in the tyre, consists of a double-armed lever 20, 13 which is actuated by a spring- pressed plunger 19 so as to operate an electric alarm device when the tyre pressure falls and allows the piston 3 to rise under the action of a spring 6. The electric alarm apparatus consists of a switch 30 rotatable about a stud 37 on the vehicle body when a lateral extension 31, 32 is actuated by the lever arm 20 in its extended position. The switch carries a projection 33 which depresses a contact plate 35 on to the terminals 36 of an electric circuit comprising the signal.
