Abstract

Aug. 8, 1923, [Convention date]. projectile fuzes. - The striker of a direct-action percussion fuze is covered by a sealing disc 3 which is sunk in a recess in the nose 1 of the fuze body and is adapted to be deformed on impact. The disc 3 is secured in place by means of a ring 5, which is screwed or pressed into the recess or into a groove at the inner end of the recess. The ring may be made in one with the disc and may then be secured by beading it into a groove in the recess. The edge 4 of the recess may be bevelled.
