Abstract
238,195. Schneider et Cie. Aug. 11, 1924, [Convention date]. Projectile, fuzes.-A combined momentum and direct-action fuze of the kind described in Specification 172,326, and comprising a striker pin I and a detonator D held away from each other by a spring F and a washer E having projecting ears e, is first mounted within a liner G, the washer being deflected by a thin metal strip H as shown in Fig. 3, to permit its passage through the aperture g in the bottom of the liner G. The fuze with its liner is then inserted in the fuze body A, Fig. 1. and secured by the transverse pin J. The liner is also secured by expansion into a groove a; or the lip of the fuze body is crimped over the end of the liner.
