Abstract

219,985. Robins Conveying Belt Co., (Assignees of Savage, P. S.). July 31, 1923, [Convention date]. Reciprocating sieves are pivotally supported and driven by eccentrics 3 on the shaft 4 and are attached to the frame 2 by springs at a distance from the eccentrics. Preferably the springs are leaf springs 7 which are attached to the upper end of the sieve frame bv links 8 and are. mounted in a box 9 provided on the fixed frame 2. The extent to which the springs project is adjusted by a threaded rod 19 and clamping screws 15. The straps 6 on the sieve frame -which form the bearings of the eccentrics 3 are placed preferably at a third of the length of the sieve frame from its discharge end.
