Abstract

217,447. Brown & Barlow, Ltd., and Brown, C. July 11, 1923. Spray carburettors.-A main nozzle, a pilot nozzle and an auxiliary nozzle are situated in a passage across which control members are caused to slide, one of the nozzles being controlled by a needle valve mounted with lost motion in one of the control members. Air enters at b and is controlled bv a throttle member a and also by a member c sliding therein. The main, pilot and auxiliary nozzles are shown at e, f, g respectively, and the nozzle g is controlled by a needle valve k, a shoulder k<1> on which is adapted to be struck by the member a, Fig. 3, or member c, Fig. 7, after a predetermined movement of said members. In one modification, the nozzles e, g may be close together in one structure, and in another the nozzles e, g of Fig. 3 are interchanged, the member c being then arranged angularly in the member a to accommodate the needle valve k.
