Abstract

195,552. Phillips, J. F. A. June 1, 1922. Channels in springs.- To lubricate a leafspring, the leaves 2 have oil-holes 3 such that each hole is closed by the adjacent leaves. A lubricator 4 is soldered or otherwise secured to the outer leaf, and the lubricant passes from one leaf to another, due to the relative motion of the leaves when the spring is in operation.
