Abstract

417,664. Air-line oilers. BLISS, J., 30, Cheapside, London. April 7, 1933, No. 10472. [Class 12 (iii).] An air-line oiler comprises a lubricant reservoir 13, an air. way 12, one or more passages between the reservoir and air-way, a porous plug 20 substantially filling the cross-section of each passage, and a valve in each passage arranged so as to be closed by the pressure in the reservoir and opened by the pressure in the air-way. The valve is preferably formed by attaching a leather disc 21 to the plug 20. The valve members 20, 21, and the seating nipples 18 are carried in casings 15 which can be assembled in position through apertures in the oiler casing 11 closed by screwed caps 17. Alternatively, a metal valve may be used, and a spring may assist it in moving from its seat.
