Abstract

511,813. Lubricating valves. LINKOPINGS ARMATUR - OCH. METALLFABRIKS AKTIEBOLAG. July 26, 1938. No. 22241. Convention date, Aug. 13, 1937. [Class 135] In a valve of the kind in which lubricant is forced from one pressure chamber 15 to another pressure chamber 15a through a system of channels 6, 7, 7a in the contacting surfaces of the valve and its seat, when the valve member is moved from one position to another, the valve member 2 is of conical form so that it may be adjusted in relation to its seat by the valve cover 3, and the pressure chambers are both disposed at the larger end of the valve member so that thickening of lubricant in either the vertical or the annular channels is avoided. An arcuate member 16 carried by the stem 5 serves to displace lubricant from one chamber to the other. The annular channels 6 are formed in the valve casing 1 and the vertical channels 7, 7a are formed in the valve member or the valve casing 1 or as shown partly in each. The valve stem has supply ducts 5a, 5b.
