Valves actuated indirectly. - In means for actuating the gas valves or cocks of gas-rings &c. comprising a lever operated upon by the utensil, the lever d is fitted with an adjustable contact screw d<1> for varying the gas control. The lever is carried by a detachable clip e. Several holes e<2> are provided in the lever so that the fulcrum can be altered as desired. The valve c is of the plunder lift type and is operated by the engagement of the end of the lever in a slot c', as shown. A bye-pass g leads from the supply below the valve to the ring.
