Abstract

191,444. Osborne, A. B., and Sodazone, Ltd. Oct. 8, 1921. Lift valves; outlets; materials, special.-In lift valves for acids &c. of the kind in which a conical valve 4 closes upon a conical seating in a detachable discharge nozzle 3, the valve member consists of a cone of compressible material, such as rubber, and the seating is made of non - corroding material, such as vulcanite. The valve spindle extends into a removable cap 7 carrying a lever 12; an adjacent fixed handle 10 may be provided. The casing 1 may be made of non-ferrous metal, glass, china, stoneware, vulcanite, or other acidresisting materials.
