Vehicle-windo,w opening and closing apparatus.-The sash a is supported by a lazy-tongs arrangement d, operated by a link g, attached to the lowest joint of the tongs and to a crank-pin h on a gear i rotated by a gear and crank-handle m<1>. The lower extremities of the tongs are confined below a bar f. The crank-handle m<1> is provided with a spring plunger engaging holes in a plate on the door to hold the sash in intermediate positions. The handle m' may be pivoted to the crank m, which is disposed in a countersunk well and provided with a convex cover-plate. The sash may be provided with rollers to slide in the guides of the frame.
