5841. Sidebotham, C. H. March 8. Pivoted sashes connected by levers and links pivoted - window opening and closing apparatus.-Sashes B, C, pivoted respectively at B' in slots and at C<1> in fixed bearings, are connected by a lever D pivoted at D<3> to the window frame and at B<2> to the sash B, the lever being connected by a link E to the sash C. The window may be opened by cords attached to the sash C; or by means of a pinion, mounted on the window frame to engage a toothed segment on the sash C, and operated by chain gearing.
