Fanlight windows; pivoted windows; fanlight and like pivoted. window opening and closing apparatus. - One or more fanlight or like pivoted sashes are carried in sliding frames 35, 36, Fig. 4, by sets of pivoted links 8, 11, pivoted at 10, 14 on the inside or outside of the frame. The sashes may open automatically against the stop 9 by gravity, on release of a cord &c., and may be adapted for simultaneous operation by a link connecting the pivoted arms or by chain and sprocket gearing 19, 20 actuating one arm of the parallel-motion linkages 12, 13, 18 by which the arms 11 are carried. The pivoted window and its sash may be combined with fixed sashes or sashes tilting on fixed pivots or with casement windows against which it may be balanced, also two of the pivoted windows may be balanced one against the other.
