Vehicle-window opening and closing apparatus; sashes balanced by springs.-The balancing- lever a of a window-balancing device of the kind described in the parent Specification is pivoted to a removable bracket d on the door frame, and an operating-handle f is provided on the pivot c. The window is balanced by an adjustable spring-controlled link m and stirrup l preferably having a roller q bearing on the lever; and the contour of the end b of the lever is so made that the window is balanced in all positions. An operating-stud &c. may be fixed to the window. The lever has a roller g engaging the window between the lower edge and a guide-rod j.
