Abstract

229,522. Hart, I. April 5, 1924. Fanlight and pivoted-window opening and closing apparatus.-A hinged or pivoted window is operated by means of a stay 1 pivoted to the sill and having a bent portion 5 provided with a roller 6 engaging a channel guide 7 secured to the sash. The window is secured in any position by a pin engaging one of the holes 28 in the guide. The pin is carried by a spring-pressed plate 17 operated by a finger lever 20, the plate and lever being mounted on a part 10 attached to the stay. A stop 12 for the lever 20 is also provided on the part 10. The stay is secured in the closed position by a second pin 15 on the plate 17 which engages a hole in a bevelled plate 25 on the sill.
