Tubes, water.-A furnace flue A provided with crossing watertubes E is formed with two flattened portions, one to receive the crossing tubes and the other to receive the tubes H of a water-cooled firebridge. The bridge consists of a vertical series of transverse tubes, which are slightly inclined from the horizontal. To provide access to the flue for cleaning purposes, a space closed by a removable partition is left between the bottom of the bridge and the flue.
