Water-tube boilers-In a water-tube boiler with substantially vertical tubes and so arranged that the tubes, the furnace-front, and the furnace-arch form a space in which is arranged a superheater, the superheater tubes are arranged horizontally and close to the furnacearch. Baffle bars are arranged for directing the furnace gases into the superheater tubes. In the form shown, the superheater tubes 16 are attached to boxes 14, 15 in the furnacefront and extend over the furnace arch 17 as shown. Baffle bars 18 are arranged as shown, and by altering the number of these bars the degree of superheat can be regulated. The tubes 16 may also be attached to boxes in the sides of the furnace.
