17,275. Nicholson, W. E. Aug. 26. Water-tube boilers; settings.-In boilers consisting of upper and lower drums A, B, C, connected by banks of tubes. D, E, vertical baffle-plates or walls J, H are arranged as shown in Fig. 2, so as to compel the hot gases to take a circuitous horizontal course, as indicated, amongst the tubes. The invention is also described in connexion with a boiler having only.two upper drums, which are connected to the lower drums by inclined tubes. The boiler is suspended from overhead girders, as shown.
