Abstract

18,916. Midgley, A. H., and Vandervell, C. A. Aug. 11. Holders.-A holder, adapted to be coupled by a bayonet-joint to the terminal plug of a cable, is provided with a cylindrical plunger-block d, of vulcanite &c., having two pins movable in slots in the holder casing to allow a partial rotation of the block. The plungers g are bored axially to engage conducting-rods g<2>, projecting from two split-pins g<1> screwed into the block opposite to the plungers, a spring i being arranged around each rod. The cable plug is provided with metal sockets to receive the pins g', and with pins to enter bayonet slots in the casing. Two nuts c are provided for fixing the holder to a frame &c.
