Abstract

20,156. Waterhouse, L. M. Aug. 30. Ceiling roses ; plug couplings. -Relates to ceiling roses of the kind in which the base is provided with socket contacts connected with the circuit leads, and a separate detachable part carries plug contacts connected to the flexible conductors leading to the lamp. The base A is recessed to receive contacts having sockets a' to take the circuit leads and sockets a<a> to receive contacts b<3>, which are fitted in the cover B and made hollow to take the flexible leads C. The contacts are separated by an insulating-bridge a<5> on the base, the projecting ends a' of which serve to guide into position the cover by engaging with notches therein. The cover is held in place by a screw plug F, to which may be secured a cord G for supporting the lamp.
