Coupling.-In electric lamp holders, switches, ceiling-roses, plugs, &c., in which the supply conductors are clamped between two insulating- cones, the inner cone p has a projection at its top provided with two notches n and a flanged base m similarly notched for the reception of the conductors. The outer cone may be a sleeve q, held in the screwed upper part g of the casing of the lamp holder, or the part g itself. The lower part a of the casing is divided by a partition d having holes for the passage of two contacts i on an insulating-block h into a bayonet-recess c. In a modification, the base m is provided with an insulating-web extending downwards between the contacts to the partition. A notch may be provided in the base between the other two notches for holding a knotted suspension wire not in the circuit.
