Reversing-gearing. - In means for driving dynamos &c. for train lighting &c. in which the dynamo is driven in a constant direction irrespective of change of direction of drive, a shaft b driven from the train axle &c. by a pulley m has a key d on which slides a clutch part a with end teeth adapted to be automatically moved alternately into engagement with teeth on loose pulleys c<1>, c<2> as the direction of drive is reversed. The pulleys c<1>, c<2> drive a shaft h, connected to the dynamos &c., through open and closed belts l, k. Toothed reversing-gearing may replace the belt gearing.
