Abstract

Valves closing with rush of fluid.-A fluid-actuated valve adapted for use as an air-venting valve on steam heating-apparatus has the outlet closed by a domeshaped cap provided with a multiplicity of holes around its edge. The conical lift valve 16 is carried by a conical actuating hood 14 guided by a fixed pin 13<1>. The valve seat 7<1> is formed on a member 7 screwed into the main casing 1 which has an inlet connection 5. The member 7 has an upstanding flange 10 to receive the cap 12 which is provided with a series of holes 12<1>.
