Abstract

169,131. Aass, H. May 4, 1921. Closure members. - In a valve or cock provided with a main valve member and an automatic valve member which closes the passage when the main valve is removed, the automatic valve 1 is formed as a cup-shaped member which is passed through the seat opening 4 and is then expanded at the rim to form the valve facing. For this purpose, the casing may be formed with a conical projection 5 upon which the cup-shaped member is forced by a tool. When the supply passage is disposed coaxially with the valves and underneath them the automatic valve is guided in the supply passage by means of ribs formed therein.
