Abstract

213,209. Richling, E. Dec. 22, 1923. Induction pipes, fittings for.-An extra air inlet device comprises a casing 6, 7 provided with an inlet 3 and an outlet 5 leading to the induction pipe and containing a spring-loaded suctionactuated valve 17 and a second spring- loaded suction-actuated valve 11, normally open, but adapted to close the passage 19 around the valve 17 at execssive suctions. The inlet 3 is controlled by a manually-operated plug 25 provided with a passage 27, 26 adapted to communicate either with an air inlet 24, or with a passage 23 through which fuel may be introduced for starting. The casing is provided also with a second air inlet 4 arranged below the valves and controlled by a plug 33 through which air for braking may be supplied.
