Cylinders, pipes for.-A suction-actuated valve for supplying air to the induction pipe comprises a casing C provided with air ports A<3>, and a suction. actuated plunger P through which passes a movable stem P<1> having an adjustable head P<3> between which and the plunger is mounted a spring S, the other end of the stem being connected to a Bowden wire W or the like. Ports 0 are provided in the wall of the casing or in the plunger for the passage of the air, and the faces of the plunger and its seating may be curved or conical. By regulating the wire W, the valve may be held closed to cut off the air supply, or may be held fully open to supply air for braking. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 20444/07, 22776/14, and 109,924.
