160,124. Russell, E. L. Nov. 4, 1919. Oil, catching and removing.- In an internal-combustion engine forming part of a self-contained electric power unit as described in Specification 158,361, [Class 35, Dynamoelectric generators &c.], escape of oil from the crank-shaft bearing 34 on to the blades 83 of a fan is prevented by an oil-throwing ring 141 mounted on the hub of a fly-wheel 58. Oil is thrown into a chamber 140 and flows away through a pipe 145 extending to below the oil level in the crank chamber 22. Specifications 18344/11 and 159,805, [both in Class 7 (vi), Internal-combustion engines, Valves &c. for], are referred to.
