Oil, catching.--Oil escaping from the bearings of an internal - combustion engine is caught in a cup F secured to the bearing, the oil being thrown into the cup by a lip f<3> of a ring f<2> rotating with the shaft. Packing f<4> is interposed between the ring f<2> and the cup F. The oil is led from the cup F by a pipe f<5> back to the circulating system.
