Wheel guards and obstruction-removers. - Motor-vehicles are fitted with a two-part wheel guard or obstruction-remover the parts of which can be tilted into a vertical position and serve as lifting-jacks and can be locked in the raised position to prevent unauthorized use of the car. The wheel-guards comprise a pair of lifting-jacks 10 pivotally mounted on projections 17 on the chassis, the mounting being slidable and enclosing a buffer spring 19. When in the horizontal position and acting as wheel-guards, the jacks are centrally secured by a bolt 20.
