Steps; bodies.-In a motor vehicle, the mudguards which normally obstruct access to the engine are pivoted at one end about a vertical axis, so that they can be readily swung sideways out of the way. The mud-guard 3 is carried by a bracket having a rearwardly-projecting arm 5 bent downwards at its end to form a pivot pin 7, which engages a socket 9 on a bracket 8, so that the mud-guard can be swung sideways as shown. A sleeve 12; detachably secured by a cotter pin on the lower part of the pivot 7, carries a step plate 11 adapted to move with the pivot. In order further to facilitate access to the engine, the floorboards 20 of the driver's cabin 21 are hinged at 22 so that they can be tilted upwards and backwards out of the way.
