Abstract

307,197. Masson, S. Feb. 16, 1928. Vehicle lamps, directing; anti-vibration devices. -Each head lamp is carried on a rotatably mounted vertical shaft D<1> having an arm O<1> slidably connected to the tie-rod E, so that movement of the latter in steering communicates a corresponding rotational movement to the lamps. The arm O<1> may be an extension of the shaft D<1> as shown; its connection to the tie-rod E is by means of a ball-joint C', Fig. 5, carrying a bush B<1> in which the arm can slide. Vertical movement of the shaft D<1> is allowed for by means of a spring M<1>. In the case of two head lamps, the arms O<1> converge on to a vertical line which is central as regards the chassis, in the " straight " position of the steering-gear, the stub-axle arms to which the tie-rod E is connected converging on to the same line.
