Abstract

247,026. Beardsley, A. V., and Elston, G. M. March 10, 1925. Vehicle lamps, directing.-In means for directing vehicle lamps from the steering-gear, one of the rotatable lamp spindles L is provided with a toothed quadrant 0 engaging a pinion P connected by a cranked arm P<1> and a rod D to the steering-rod R, the lamp spindles being connected by arms and a rod L<3> for simultaneous movement. The rod D is connected by universal joints to the arm P<1> and to bracket C<1>, secured by a clip C, on the steering-rod R. The pinion P is mounted on a clamp P<2>, secured by screws P<4> to the frame F of the vehicle. The lamp spindles are mounted in bearing sleeves B, bolted to the frame F and preferably having a hollow extension B<2> for accommodating the quadrant O.
