Abstract

177,672. Bavor, J. J. Feb. 21, 1921. Vehicle lamps, directing.-In means for directing motor-vehicle head-lamps from the steering- gear, the lamps are mounted in bearings carried on a longitudinally-adjustable support comprising telescopic members 7, 9 held in the adjusted position by a set-screw 10 and each terminating in a curved plate adapted to be secured to the mudguard so as to enable the mechanism to be used on vehicles of various sizes. The crank-arms 23 secured to the lower ends of the rotatable lampstems are also connected by a telescopic coupling- rod 20, 21. A second arm 19 is secured to the lower end of one of the lamp-stems and is connected to an adjustable operating-link 19' pivotally-connected to an arm 16 clamped to the steering-post 6.
