Abstract

445,165. Steering trailer vehicles. STRAUSSLER, N., and STRAUSSLER MECHANIZATION, Ltd., 70, Pall Mall, London. July 13, 1935, No. 20104. [Class 79 (v)] Trailer vehicles of the kind in which each road wheel is mounted on a cranked arm C movable about an horizontal axis and is independently sprung, are steered by a towbar H pivoted at f<1> to the chassis and provided with an arm or arms f<3>, F connected by links G, G<1> to the steering arms L of the road wheels. The invention is shown applied to vehicles of the kind described in Specification 433,946, [Group XXXII], in which the springs controlling the arms C are housed in tubes D, the arms C being oppositely directed in Fig. 1 and similarly directed in Fig. 2.
