Abstract

451,106. Vehicle spring-suspensions. M.G. CAR CO., Ltd., and CHARLES, H. N., Pavlova Works, Abingdon-on-Thames. Dec. 29, 1934, No. 37258. [Class 108 (ii)] In motor vehicles wherein a steerable road wheel is connected to the frame by upper and lower links the outer pivoted axis of which lie in a plane which intersects the steering axis, use is made of a E-like bracket on the middle limb of which the wheel is steerably mounted and the outer limbs are pivoted to the transverse limbs. The upper and lower links 14, 15 are pivoted to the chassis members at 16, 17 and at their outer ends are pivoted to a E-like wheel bracket 20 having an intermediate limb or lug 21 adapted to carry the steering swivel pin on which the wheel is mounted, the arrangement being such that the vertical plane 24 coinciding with the axis 18, 19 intersects the plane 22 coinciding with the steering pin axis substantially midway between the axis 18, 19.
