434,419. Motor vehicles. JAMES, D., Tretoe Garage, Ynysmudw, and WILLIAMS, L. G., Corsyrhelig Godrergraig, both in Swansea. Feb. 27, 1934, No. 6288. [Classes 79 (iv) and 79 (v)] Means for converting a four - wheeled motor road vehicle into a threewheeled vehicle comprises a transverse axle bar member 1 adapted to be secured to the side springs or other securing means for the two displaced wheels and supported at its centre on a single dirigible wheel. This wheel is secured by means of screws 12 to a bearing spaced annularly from the bar 1 and consisting of an inner race 6, pivotally mounted on the bar 1 by a pin 3, and an outer race 9 secured to a brake drum 11. An arm 14 secured to the inner bearing race is provided for connection with the existing Ackerman steering gear. The bar 1 may be secured to the vehicle in such a manner as to permit its cant to be varied to suit the road. Specifications 126,017 and 157,392, [both in Class 79 (iv)], are referred to.
