705,114. Arrangement of wheels and axles. GRENFELL. J. G. Nov. 13. 1952 [Dec. 12, 1951], No. 29117/51. Class 108(2) A motor road vehicle independent suspension arrangement comprises transversely extending beams or arms 5, 5 and 10. 10 arranged in overlapping relation and each carrying one of a pair of wheels 3, 3 and 9, 9, one of the ends of the respective beam or arm being pivotally connected to the vehicle frame or body 1 to afford a rise and fall of the wheel about the pivot, in which each beam or arm is provided with or includes a longitudinally extending member or strut 7 or 12 also pivotally connected to the vehicle frame or body. Preferably the length of each strut is the same as that of each arm. The suspension is applicable to steerable and/or ncn-steerable wheels.
