An independent front wheel suspension of a motor vehicle comprises a pair of swinging arms 15 and 16 pivotally mounted on supports carried by the frame 27 so that their pivot axes a and b, as viewed in elevation, are inclined downwardly towards the rear of the vehicle or converge towards one another, and as viewed in plan, cross one another. The springs 30 may be coil, pneumatic or hydraulic. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the front of the vehicle is to the left.
