Windscreens.-In a vehicle windscreen of the kind comprising two portions separately mounted on opposite sides of the vehicle and each comprising one or more panels, the rear edge of each portion is mounted on a fixed rear support 5, Figs. 1 and 3, forward of which is arranged a front support in the form of an arm or bracket extending inwardly from the side of the vehicle. When each portion as shown comprises two or more panels 1, 2 the arm 10 is made L-shaped, the vertical part forming the hinge-pin between the panels 1, 2, while the horizontal part preferably has a combined' pivotal and sliding movement in a swivel bearing 11 carried by a socket 12 on the vehicle side. The supports 5 are held in position in other sockets 7 by means of split conical sleeves 8 screwing into tapering portions of the sockets. The meeting edges of the innermost panels 2 are connected together by lugs 17 and clamping-nuts 18. In a modification, Fig. 5, the rigid panels 1 are replaced by flexible screens 27 constructed as described in Specifications 108,334 and 109,601, and the arm 10 by a non-circular bar 35 slidably adjustable in a fixture 36 on the vehicle and by an upright 31 forming the hinge-pin between the panels 27, 28. Instead of the panels forming a transverse screen as shown, they may be opened out and supported upon the sides of the vehicle with the lugs 17 on the panels 2 or 28 connected to lugs on the front screen.
