Abstract

220,465. County Screen Co., Ltd., and Marsh, F. F. Aug. 22, 1923. Wind-screens. - A wind-screen particularly adapted for the rear seats of motor &c. vehicles is composed of two units, each of which comprises a side-wing or panel b secured to a supporting-rod c, a front panel a hinged to the supporting rod, and a half-apron g attached to the lower edges of the panels, the screen being normally supported by the rods c engaging in brackets d on the side of the vehicle but capable of ready dismounting, for which purpose the two panels are folded together and the half-apron g is wrapped round them and secured by snap fasteners. Preferably the panels a, b are retained in their folded position by snap-fasteners e, Fig. 1, and the screen is stowed away by engaging the rods c in brackets disposed on the floor of the vehicle at the rear of the front seats. In the operative position the inner edges of the two panels a may be connected together to form a V-shaped front screen, while the adjacent edges of the half-aprons g may similarly be connected.
